Certified to the new NFPA 1970:2025 Standard, this advanced hood delivers comprehensive particulate barrier coverage throughout the entire hood and bib to help reduce exposure to hazardous fireground contaminants.
Designed for complete protection, the hood incorporates a particulate barrier across the entire hood and bib, providing consistent coverage without compromising mobility or breathability. Its ergonomic design allows for comfortable integration with structural turnout gear while maintaining dependable protection during extended operations.
Constructed from PGI's advanced BarriAire Carbon Shield™ Laminate FR Composite, the hood utilizes breakthrough carbon fiber technology that will not burn in air and provides exceptional resistance to direct flame. The Carbon Shield™ knit fabric features low thermal conductivity, making it an outstanding insulator against heat while delivering long-lasting durability in demanding firefighting environments.
Using advanced patented gravure (dot) lamination technology, the Carbon Shield™ fabric is bonded to DuPont™ Nomex® Nano Flex to create a highly breathable composite that delivers superior flame, heat, and particulate protection without sacrificing flexibility or comfort.
